About SafeToolkits
SafeToolkits is a free collection of 72 tools for PDFs, images and developers. Every tool runs in your web browser, so your files and the text you paste are processed on your own device and never uploaded.
Why it exists
Many online tools upload your files to a server to process them. For a contract, an ID scan, a medical form or an API key, that means trusting a stranger's server with something private. SafeToolkits does the same everyday jobs, like merging PDFs, compressing photos or decoding a token, without your data ever leaving your device.
What you can do here
- PDF tools (18): Merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign and protect PDFs.
- Image tools (11): Convert, compress, resize and crop JPG, PNG, WebP and SVG images.
- Developer tools (43): Format, encode, decode and inspect data. Paste it in, get results instantly.
There's no sign-up, no installation and no limit on how often you use them.
How it works
Modern browsers can do work that used to need a server. The PDF tools use open-source libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js and qpdf compiled to WebAssembly) that run in background threads of the page, so it stays responsive. The image tools use your browser's own image codecs, and the developer tools are small programs that run as you type.
How the privacy promise is kept
- The tools never send your files or text anywhere. There is no server that receives them.
- Each page has a strict security policy. Pages without ads can't send data to any other site at all; pages with ads may only contact Google's ad servers.
- Tools built for passwords, keys and signatures never show ads, so no third-party code runs next to your secrets.
- Automated tests check every tool on every change: a test fails if a page contacts another site or sends data out.
How it stays free
The site is free to use and runs on low-cost static hosting. Read the privacy policy for exactly what is and isn't collected.
